About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a Network Professionals team to design, implement, and maintain the council’s core and edge networks.
- Architect and manage routing, switching, and SDN solutions to meet evolving business requirements.
- Ensure network security through firewall configuration, segmentation, and continuous vulnerability assessment.
- Implement and optimize network monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate new services and support digital transformation initiatives.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with Cisco routing and switching platforms (ISR, Nexus, Catalyst).
- Proven knowledge of SDN concepts and experience with OpenFlow or similar technologies.
- Strong background in network security, including firewall, VPN, and IDS/IPS.
- Hands‑on expertise in network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, NetFlow).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
