Devops Engineer
Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of secure, scalable infrastructure for a federal cyber platform, leveraging Python, AWS, Linux, and modern DevOps practices to support national defense missions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and manage highly available, secure infrastructure on AWS for the Advana data and AI platform.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python and Terraform to provision resources and enforce compliance.
- Collaborate with security teams to design and enforce network segmentation, IAM policies, and threat detection mechanisms.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins, or equivalent to streamline application deployments.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and conduct root‑cause analysis to ensure continuous uptime.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, preferably in a federal or defense environment.
- Proficiency with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation) and Linux system administration.
- Strong scripting skills in Python and experience with IaC tools such as Terraform.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, VPNs, and secure architecture principles.
- Experience with CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response in a production setting.
