Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of scalable data pipelines on Red Hat OpenShift, leveraging Apache Spark and Iceberg. Drive automation and infrastructure excellence to support high‑availability data services for enterprise customers.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain containerized data services on Red Hat OpenShift, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Develop and optimize Spark jobs for batch and streaming workloads, integrating with Iceberg for schema evolution and ACID compliance.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and GitOps practices.
- Collaborate with data scientists, platform engineers, and security teams to enforce best practices, monitoring, and observability.
- Diagnose and resolve production incidents, conduct post‑mortems, and continuously improve system reliability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering with a focus on data platforms.
- Proficiency in Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
- Strong background in Apache Spark, Scala/Java/Python, and data lake technologies such as Iceberg.
- Hands‑on experience with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, strong communication, and a collaborative mindset.
