Software Engineer
Senior engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining industrial automation and operational technology solutions, including PLCs, SCADA/HMI, and cybersecurity controls for manufacturing environments.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and commission PLC and control system architectures for manufacturing lines.
- Implement, configure, and maintain SCADA/HMI platforms to ensure real‑time monitoring and control.
- Develop and enforce OT cybersecurity measures, including network segmentation, access controls, and vulnerability remediation.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate automation solutions with enterprise IT systems and MES.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement for existing automation assets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field; 5+ years of hands‑on experience in industrial automation.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen‑Bradley, Siemens) and SCADA/HMI tools.
- Strong knowledge of OT cybersecurity best practices and industrial networking protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, OPC-UA).
- Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python for automation and data analysis.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
