Senior Helpdesk IT Engineer responsible for managing and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure, leading service desk operations, and delivering high‑quality technical solutions using Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, and networking technologies.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the helpdesk, ensuring tickets are resolved within SLA and customer satisfaction targets are met.
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows Server and Active Directory environments, including user provisioning, group policy, and security hardening.
- Manage virtual infrastructure using VMware, handling provisioning, performance tuning, and disaster‑recovery tasks.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting for networking issues, including LAN/WAN, VPN, and firewall configurations.
- Develop and automate routine tasks with PowerShell scripts to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Lead IT projects, coordinate with cross‑functional teams, and mentor junior support staff.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a senior helpdesk or IT engineering role supporting enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and VMware virtualization.
- Hands‑on experience with networking protocols, routing, switching, and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
- ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent experience in service‑management processes.
