Software Engineer
Lead reliability engineering for high‑power satellite hardware, driving failure analysis, FMEA, and environmental testing to ensure mission‑critical performance across LEO to deep space missions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute reliability plans for satellite hardware, including FMEA, risk assessments, and failure mode tracking.
- Lead root‑cause analysis of hardware failures, collaborating with design, manufacturing, and operations teams to implement corrective actions.
- Design and oversee environmental and functional test campaigns (thermal, vibration, radiation) to validate compliance with MIL‑STD‑810 and mission requirements.
- Analyze reliability data, generate statistical reports, and provide actionable insights to improve product quality and reduce cost of ownership.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to integrate reliability considerations into early design reviews and procurement processes.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in hardware reliability engineering for aerospace or high‑performance electronics.
- Proficiency in FMEA, reliability modeling, and statistical analysis tools.
- Strong knowledge of MIL‑STD‑810, environmental testing protocols, and failure analysis techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence design decisions across multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with satellite or space‑grade hardware is highly desirable.
