Lead the design, development, and qualification of advanced hardware components for mission‑critical aerospace systems, leveraging expertise in PCB layout, signal integrity, RF, and mechanical integration to meet stringent DoD requirements.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop high‑performance hardware components, including PCBs, RF modules, and mechanical assemblies, ensuring compliance with aerospace and DoD standards.
- Perform signal integrity analysis, RF simulations, and thermal/structural evaluations to validate design performance.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (electronics, mechanical, software) to integrate components into larger systems and resolve technical issues.
- Lead prototype fabrication, testing, and qualification activities, including environmental, vibration, and EMC testing.
- Document design specifications, test plans, and results; support technical reviews and design approvals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in hardware component design for aerospace or defense applications.
- Proficiency with PCB design tools (Altium, OrCAD), RF simulation (HFSS, ADS), and mechanical CAD (SolidWorks, CATIA).
- Strong knowledge of signal integrity, RF, thermal management, and environmental testing.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD security clearance.
