Lead the analysis of internal loss event data, driving risk insights and model development using SQL, Python, and advanced statistical techniques to support enterprise risk management.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL queries and Python scripts to extract, clean, and analyze internal loss event data across multiple business units.
- Build and validate statistical models to quantify loss event drivers and forecast future risk exposure.
- Collaborate with risk, compliance, and business stakeholders to translate analytical findings into actionable risk mitigation strategies.
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations to communicate risk metrics and trends to senior leadership.
- Document data sources, methodologies, and model assumptions to ensure reproducibility and auditability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in risk analytics, preferably within a financial services environment.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation, analysis, and automation.
- Strong foundation in statistical modeling, probability, and risk measurement techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex insights to non‑technical audiences.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
