Software Engineer
Lead the design and development of next‑generation AI accelerator hardware, driving end‑to‑end silicon, FPGA, and ASIC solutions for AWS Trainium, while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑performance compute systems at scale.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement GPU/accelerator silicon blocks, RTL modules, and FPGA prototypes for AWS Trainium.
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams to define performance, power, and reliability targets.
- Lead verification efforts using industry‑standard tools (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence) and develop testbenches for RTL and silicon.
- Drive continuous improvement of design flows, methodology, and IP reuse across the accelerator stack.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on emerging accelerator technologies.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in GPU or accelerator hardware design, with a strong background in ASIC/FPGA development.
- Proficiency in Verilog/VHDL, RTL design, and silicon verification.
- Deep understanding of high‑performance computing, interconnects, and power optimization.
- Experience with AWS or large cloud‑scale infrastructure is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑moving, cross‑functional environment.
