About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for power and cooling equipment, ensuring alignment with AWS infrastructure growth plans.
- Lead cross‑functional collaboration with engineering, operations, and security teams to define technical requirements and performance metrics.
- Negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and monitor supplier performance to achieve cost, quality, and delivery targets.
- Analyze market trends, assess supply risks, and implement mitigation plans to maintain uninterrupted data center operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data analytics to optimize procurement processes and reduce lifecycle costs.
Requirements
- 10+ years of procurement or supply chain experience in a large, complex organization, preferably in technology or data center environments.
- Deep understanding of power and cooling systems for high‑density data centers.
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with AWS or similar cloud infrastructure environments is highly desirable.
