We're looking for a talented and versatile Senior Software Developer with strong experience in Python and modern front-end technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, or React) to join our team. In this role, you'll take ownership of software from design through production, and use AI agents as part of your regular development workflow.
You'll work closely with product managers, engineers, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver features and solutions for our clients. If you're passionate about clean code, scalable systems, and using AI tools to work faster and better, we'd love to hear from you.
This position is a full-time role. We are 100% remote but candidates must reside and be authorized to work in Costa Rica.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain web applications across the stack, from backend APIs to dynamic frontends.
- Own production software throughout its lifecycle, driving complex initiatives independently from design through deployment and support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and DevOps to ship high-quality software.
- Develop RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI.
- Build responsive, dynamic front-end applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or comparable technologies.
- Design scalable distributed systems and microservice architectures.
- Deploy and manage applications using AWS serverless technologies and related cloud infrastructure.
- Use AI agents as part of the development workflow for design, planning, implementation, testing, debugging, and documentation, and apply engineering judgment to validate and refine that work before it reaches production.
- Design, build, and integrate AI agents and agentic workflows to automate engineering tasks and solve product challenges.
- Mentor peers through technical leadership and code reviews.
