Lead the design and delivery of secure, modern web applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React within an Agile DevSecOps environment, driving IT modernization for a federal defense client.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain high‑performance Java back‑end services with Spring Boot, ensuring scalability and security.
- Build responsive, user‑friendly front‑end components in React, integrating with RESTful APIs.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional Agile teams to deliver incremental releases, participate in sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
- Implement DevSecOps practices: automated CI/CD pipelines, static code analysis, containerization, and cloud deployment.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developers.
- Analyze system performance, troubleshoot issues, and propose continuous improvement solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in full‑stack development with Java and React.
- Strong proficiency in Spring Boot, RESTful API design, and relational database integration.
- Hands‑on experience with DevSecOps tools (Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, SAST/DAST).
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, strong communication, and a commitment to secure coding practices.
