Senior Full‑Stack Engineer leading the development of high‑performance, secure eCommerce solutions for a global retailer, leveraging JavaScript, React, Node.js, AWS, Docker and CI/CD pipelines to deliver scalable features on a 12‑month contract.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain feature‑rich, customer‑facing eCommerce pages for the Warhammer.com store using JavaScript, React and Node.js.
- Collaborate closely with QA, product and design teams to translate business requirements into robust, testable code.
- Implement scalable, secure backend services on AWS, containerising workloads with Docker and managing deployments via CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure high code quality through code reviews, automated testing and performance optimisation.
- Participate in architecture discussions, proposing improvements to the existing tech stack and infrastructure.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full‑stack development experience, with a strong focus on eCommerce platforms.
- Proficient in JavaScript, React, Node.js and modern build tools.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services (Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3) and containerisation (Docker).
- Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and automated testing frameworks.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
