About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance backend services and RESTful APIs using Python and Django.
- Optimize PostgreSQL schemas, write efficient queries, and ensure data integrity for transactional workloads.
- Integrate with third‑party payment gateways, handling secure data flows and compliance requirements.
- Build responsive user interfaces with React, collaborating with UX designers to enhance operational efficiency.
- Deploy and manage applications in AWS, leveraging services such as EC2, RDS, S3, and CloudWatch for monitoring and scaling.
- Own the full code lifecycle: architecture, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, performance tuning, and production support.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full‑stack development experience, with a strong focus on backend engineering.
- Hands‑on experience integrating payment systems (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, ACH) and handling PCI‑compliant data.
- Solid understanding of API design principles, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, ability to work independently in a remote environment, and strong communication abilities.
