Senior Full Stack/Backend Engineer needed to design and deliver high‑performance APIs and services for a global audio streaming platform, focusing on trust and safety features using Python, Node.js, GraphQL and cloud infrastructure.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable backend APIs and services for trust and safety workflows.
- Collaborate with product, data, and security teams to translate policy requirements into technical solutions.
- Implement GraphQL endpoints and RESTful services using Python and Node.js, ensuring high performance and low latency.
- Deploy, monitor, and optimize services on AWS using Docker and Kubernetes, applying best practices for CI/CD.
- Write comprehensive unit, integration, and contract tests; conduct code reviews to uphold code quality.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience building backend systems, with strong proficiency in Python and Node.js.
- Hands‑on experience with GraphQL, REST APIs, and relational databases (SQL).
- Proven track record deploying cloud‑native applications on AWS, using Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Solid understanding of microservice architecture, security best practices, and performance tuning.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work autonomously in a remote, fast‑paced environment.
