About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead conceptual and detailed design of fuel handling mechanical equipment, including D2O, hydraulic, and pneumatic subsystems for nuclear power plants.
- Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams during design, procurement, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and commissioning phases.
- Develop and review engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations to meet safety, regulatory, and performance requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and integration of components.
- Conduct risk assessments, design reviews, and quality assurance activities to maintain project integrity and compliance.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in fuel handling or related mechanical engineering within the nuclear industry.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and D2O system design and analysis.
- Proficiency in CAD, CAE, and engineering calculation tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, matrixed organization.
