About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and design fire protection systems for data center and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with NFPA, ICC, and local codes.
- Perform fire risk assessments, hazard analyses, and performance-based design calculations to support project safety objectives.
- Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and structural engineers to integrate fire protection solutions into overall building designs.
- Prepare detailed construction documents, specifications, and calculations using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, and as‑built documentation, providing technical guidance during construction and commissioning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- 10+ years of experience designing fire protection systems for data centers or large‑scale industrial facilities.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 70, 72, 101, 199, and related standards.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD/Revit and fire modeling software (e.g., FDS, PyroSim).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proven ability to lead technical discussions across multidisciplinary teams.
