About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, transform, and store financial data across multiple systems.
- Collaborate with finance teams to model accounting data, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Implement and maintain data warehouses and data lakes on AWS (Redshift, S3, Glue) to support advanced analytics and reporting.
- Develop automated reporting solutions and dashboards using Python, SQL, and BI tools to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Perform data quality checks, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance of data workflows.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in financial accounting and data engineering roles.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and AWS data services (Redshift, Glue, S3).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with data modeling, ETL design, and performance tuning.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
