About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a cross‑functional engineering team focused on global tax compliance and automation.
- Define and own the technical roadmap, architecture, and scalability strategy for tax‑related services within a SaaS platform.
- Collaborate with product, finance, and legal stakeholders to translate complex tax regulations into reliable, automated solutions.
- Drive best practices in code quality, testing, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure (AWS) to ensure high availability and security.
- Champion Agile processes, sprint planning, and continuous delivery to meet rapid product iteration cycles.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong background in Python or comparable languages.
- 3+ years of people‑management experience leading distributed engineering teams.
- Deep understanding of tax compliance, payroll, or financial systems in a global SaaS environment.
- Proven experience designing and scaling cloud‑native architectures on AWS.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally with product, legal, and finance teams.
