Senior Engineering Lead - Innovative Defense Technologies

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and mentor cross‑functional engineering teams delivering combat system and sensor solutions.
• Own end‑to‑end project planning, schedule control, and risk mitigation while interfacing with senior executives and stakeholders.
• Guide software development efforts in C++ and Python, ensuring high‑performance, secure code for embedded and real‑time environments.
• Lead data analysis and sensor‑fusion initiatives to enhance system situational awareness and operational effectiveness.
• Manage contract and fiscal responsibilities, including budgeting, compliance, and reporting.
• Promote Agile methodologies and continuous improvement across the team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering experience with a proven track record of leading large, technically complex defense projects.
• Strong expertise in C++, Python, and embedded systems development for combat or sensor platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, contracts, and multi‑disciplinary stakeholder relationships.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum practices and modern project‑management tools.
• Excellent communication and mentorship skills, capable of influencing senior leadership and developing engineering talent.
