Software Engineer
Senior Engineering Geologist leading geotechnical investigations, design, and construction support for energy infrastructure projects, utilizing GIS, AutoCAD, and rock/soil analysis to ensure safe, compliant, and cost‑effective solutions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead geotechnical investigations, field sampling, and laboratory testing for large‑scale energy infrastructure projects.
- Develop and review foundation, slope stability, and rock mechanics designs using AutoCAD and GIS tools.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (engineering, safety, environmental, permitting) to integrate geologic data into project plans.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and construction‑phase guidance to ensure compliance with regulatory and QA/QC standards.
- Mentor junior geologists and oversee subcontractor performance during field and construction activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in GIS, AutoCAD, and geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio).
- Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, foundation design, and environmental regulations.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder communication.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Geologist (PG) licensure preferred.
