Lead complex distribution planning projects, designing substations, lines, and underground networks for electric power systems while engaging with state public utility commissions and ensuring regulatory compliance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end‑to‑end planning projects for distribution substations, overhead lines, and underground network systems.
- Develop detailed engineering designs, load flow studies, and reliability analyses for electric power distribution.
- Represent the organization in state public utility commission meetings, presenting technical findings and addressing regulatory questions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate new technologies and optimize network performance.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, reports, and compliance submissions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in power system planning and distribution network design.
- Proficiency in power system analysis tools (e.g., PSS®E, PowerFactory, ETAP).
- Strong knowledge of state and federal utility regulations and permitting processes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
