Software Engineer
Senior Engineer leading design, implementation, and optimisation of transmission and overhead wiring systems, driving reliability and safety across a large transport network using advanced mechanical, electrical, and project management expertise.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, specification, and delivery of overhead wiring and transmission infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering solutions, using CAD and FEA tools for analysis and optimisation.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design drawings, test plans, and compliance reports.
- Implement and oversee PLC and SCADA integration for monitoring and control of transmission assets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in transmission or infrastructure engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD, FEA, PLC programming, and SCADA systems.
- Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
