Senior Mechanical Engineer leading consultancy design projects, delivering feasibility studies, coordinating MEP specifications, and mentoring junior staff while ensuring compliance with client requirements and project timelines.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design effort for consultancy projects, producing detailed feasibility studies and design specifications that meet client briefs.
- Collaborate with the Hong Kong advisory team to develop and review MEP design packages, ensuring alignment with local regulations and project goals.
- Define building requirements, usage criteria, and performance targets, translating them into clear technical documentation.
- Monitor scope of work, schedule, and deliverables in partnership with the Local CRC Head of MEP, guaranteeing on‑time delivery.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers, reviewing their work and fostering technical growth within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with at least 7 years of professional experience in building services design.
- Proficiency in HVAC and MEP design, including preparation of feasibility reports and design specifications.
- Strong command of design tools such as AutoCAD (or equivalent) and familiarity with BIM platforms.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including scope definition, schedule control, and stakeholder coordination.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with experience mentoring junior engineers.
