Software Engineer
Senior Engineer leading a small team on a major hospital replacement project, driving reinforced concrete design, safety, quality assurance, and construction methodology using RAMS and ITP frameworks.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of 2–4 Section Engineers, ensuring high performance and professional development.
- Apply best engineering practices to reinforced concrete design, including detailed calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Develop and review RAMS (Risk Assessment & Method Statements) and ITP (Inspection & Test Plans) to guarantee safety and quality.
- Interpret as‑built information, resolve design discrepancies, and provide technical guidance to less experienced staff.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive QA documentation, records, and reports throughout the project lifecycle.
- Produce method statements and oversee their implementation, ensuring compliance with project and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate temporary works design and execution, managing risks and resource allocation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in reinforced concrete structural engineering for large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of RAMS, ITP, and QA/QC processes within the construction industry.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team‑building skills.
- Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., ETABS, SAFE, or similar) and Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results on time and within budget.
