Senior Engineer – ILS leading Integrated Logistic Support for Canadian defense programs, ensuring contractual compliance, schedule, budget, and quality through expert risk, cost, and quality management.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and oversight of Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) activities for multiple defense programs, ensuring alignment with Department of National Defence (DND) standards and contractual obligations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive ILS plans, including sustainment, maintenance, supply chain, and training components, integrating them into overall program schedules.
- Conduct risk assessments, cost estimation, and performance monitoring to keep programs on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—engineering, procurement, operations, and quality assurance—to resolve technical issues and optimize sustainment strategies.
- Prepare and present progress reports, technical briefings, and deliverable documentation to senior management and government stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Integrated Logistic Support or related defense program support roles.
- Strong knowledge of DND ILS processes, standards, and contractual frameworks.
- Proven project management skills with experience in risk, cost, and quality management.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
