About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead geotechnical investigations and design for SMR sites, ensuring compliance with nuclear safety regulations.
- Develop and validate geotechnical models, including soil mechanics, foundation design, and settlement analysis.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate geological, structural, and environmental data into site plans.
- Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and design documentation for regulatory approval.
- Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement of geotechnical processes.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, preferably within nuclear or large infrastructure projects.
- Strong background in site investigation, geotechnical modeling, and foundation design.
- Knowledge of nuclear safety standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in GIS, CAD, and geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
