Software Engineer
Lead the design and integration of propulsion and auxiliary power system architectures for high‑performance aircraft, applying model‑based engineering, performance analysis, and cross‑functional collaboration.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and develop system architecture concepts for propulsion and auxiliary power units across commercial and military aircraft programs.
- Lead model‑based systems engineering activities, creating and validating functional and performance models using MATLAB/Simulink.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—structures, controls, avionics, and manufacturing—to ensure seamless integration and compliance with certification standards.
- Perform trade‑off studies, sizing, and performance analysis to optimize weight, efficiency, and reliability of power‑train solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to design reviews, risk assessments, and documentation packages.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in aircraft propulsion or auxiliary power system design and architecture.
- Proficiency with Model‑Based Systems Engineering tools (MATLAB/Simulink) and strong analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct system trade studies, performance modeling, and interface definition.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving abilities in a fast‑paced engineering environment.
