About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end electronics design for next‑generation ballistic helmets and optical solutions, ensuring compliance with military specifications.
- Develop and validate high‑density PCB layouts, applying signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal management best practices.
- Write and review embedded C firmware for power and data management subsystems, integrating with sensor and communication modules.
- Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams (mechanical, software, RF) to define system requirements and perform trade studies.
- Conduct rigorous test and validation plans, including environmental, vibration, and electromagnetic compatibility testing.
- Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and drive continuous improvement of design processes.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or related field with 8+ years of experience in high‑reliability electronics design.
- Proficient in PCB CAD tools (Altium, OrCAD) and simulation (HFSS, ADS, SPICE).
- Strong background in embedded C, firmware development, and real‑time operating systems.
- Experience with power electronics, signal integrity, and ruggedized product development.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, strong communication, and ability to work in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical environment.
