About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, analysis, and implementation of power‑systems, protection schemes, and substation projects for utility‑scale transmission and distribution.
- Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations using tools such as AutoCAD and ETAP.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and utility stakeholders to ensure project milestones, safety standards, and regulatory compliance are met.
- Perform fault studies, load flow analysis, and protective relay coordination to enhance system reliability and performance.
- Mentor junior engineers, review technical deliverables, and provide technical guidance throughout project life cycles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred) with 8+ years of experience in power systems, protection & control, or substation engineering.
- Proficiency with industry software such as ETAP, PSS®E, AutoCAD, and experience conducting fault and load flow studies.
- Strong knowledge of IEEE, NERC, and local utility standards for transmission and distribution systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects, manage cross‑functional teams, and communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
