Senior Electrical Engineer leading design, implementation and optimisation of power and control systems for large-scale water infrastructure projects, leveraging SCADA, PLC, HMI and renewable technologies to deliver reliable, efficient solutions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical design and integration of power distribution, control and protection systems for water treatment and distribution facilities.
- Develop and maintain SCADA, PLC and HMI configurations, ensuring seamless operation and real‑time monitoring.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise energy usage, incorporating renewable sources and energy storage where appropriate.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, specifications, and cost estimates for project proposals and procurement.
- Provide technical support during commissioning, testing and hand‑over, troubleshooting complex electrical issues.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with proven experience in water sector projects.
- Strong knowledge of power systems, protection schemes, SCADA, PLC and HMI platforms.
- Hands‑on experience with renewable integration (solar, wind) and energy management.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Professional registration (e.g., CEng) is an advantage.
