About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed electrical designs for commercial, institutional, and campus projects, including power distribution, lighting, and low‑voltage systems.
- Create and review construction documents, schematics, and panel schedules using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Program, test, and commission PLC‑based control systems to meet project specifications.
- Ensure all designs comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams—mechanical, plumbing, and structural—to integrate systems and resolve design conflicts.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and support project managers in budgeting and scheduling.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and PE licensure (or eligibility).
- 5+ years of experience in building and campus electrical design.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit MEP for creating construction‑ready drawings.
- Hands‑on experience with PLC programming and control system integration.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, industry standards, and project management best practices.
