Senior Documentation Engineer responsible for designing AI‑enhanced authoring tools, automating documentation pipelines, and integrating large language models into scientific data workflows using Python, JavaScript, and modern DevOps practices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI‑powered documentation tooling that streamlines creation, maintenance, and publishing of scientific content.
- Integrate large language models (LLMs) and retrieval‑augmented generation into authoring platforms to enable context‑aware assistance.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, linting, and deployment of documentation assets.
- Collaborate with data engineers, product managers, and scientists to ensure documentation reflects evolving data models and AI workflows.
- Implement version‑controlled authoring workflows using Git, Markdown, and RESTful services.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on documentation, developer tooling, or knowledge‑base platforms.
- Proficiency in Python and JavaScript (Node.js or browser‑based) and experience building REST APIs.
- Hands‑on experience with large language models, prompt engineering, and AI‑assisted content generation.
- Strong background in CI/CD, automated testing, and Git‑based workflows.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for translating complex scientific data into clear, reusable documentation.
