Devops Engineer
Senior engineer responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining DNS and infrastructure services in a defense environment, leveraging Linux, networking, cloud, and automation tools to ensure high availability and security.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage DNS infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud environments, ensuring resilience and compliance with DoD standards.
- Configure and maintain Linux‑based servers, networking equipment, and load balancers to support mission‑critical applications.
- Automate deployment, scaling, and monitoring using Ansible, Python scripts, and cloud native services (AWS Route 53, EC2, CloudWatch).
- Collaborate with security, operations, and development teams to enforce best practices, perform vulnerability assessments, and remediate incidents.
- Document architecture, procedures, and troubleshooting guides for internal use and audit readiness.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DNS, networking, and infrastructure engineering in a regulated or defense environment.
- Proficient with Linux system administration, BIND, PowerDNS, and DNSSEC.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services (Route 53, EC2, VPC) and automation tools such as Ansible.
- Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash for automation and monitoring.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and documentation abilities.
