Lead enterprise AI governance initiatives, shaping policy, risk, and compliance frameworks while partnering with data science and engineering teams to ensure responsible, scalable AI deployment across the organization.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the enterprise AI governance strategy, establishing policies, standards, and controls for model development, deployment, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with data science, engineering, legal, and security teams to embed ethical AI, privacy, and risk management practices into the product lifecycle.
- Oversee AI model risk assessments, bias detection, and compliance reporting to meet regulatory requirements such as GDPR, CCPA, and industry‑specific standards.
- Drive the implementation of AI governance tooling and cloud‑based platforms, ensuring traceability, auditability, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and lead a cross‑functional governance team, fostering a culture of responsible AI and data stewardship across the organization.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in AI/ML, data governance, or risk management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record designing and operationalizing AI governance frameworks in large, complex enterprises.
- Deep understanding of machine learning pipelines, model risk assessment, data privacy regulations, and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong communication and influencing skills, able to translate technical concepts into business‑focused policies for senior stakeholders.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Law, or related field preferred.
