Leads design, integration, security and reliability of enterprise technology systems for a large public‑school district, overseeing cloud, data‑center, and cybersecurity initiatives while guiding senior technical staff.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the enterprise technology strategy, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability across all district systems.
- Oversee cloud infrastructure and data‑center operations, including migration, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
- Lead cybersecurity programs, threat monitoring, incident response, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Direct system integration projects, aligning legacy applications with modern platforms and ensuring seamless data flow.
- Manage a senior technical team, providing mentorship, resource planning, and performance oversight.
- Collaborate with the Chief Technology Officer and other leaders to align technology initiatives with educational goals and budgetary constraints.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise IT, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing large‑scale systems and security programs.
- Proven expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), data‑center management, and enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Deep knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, risk management, and regulatory compliance (e.g., FERPA, NIST).
- Strong track record of managing complex system integration projects and delivering measurable outcomes.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team‑building skills.
