Senior Director, Hardware Engineering - Serve Robotics

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the hardware roadmap for autonomous delivery robots, aligning mechanical, electrical, and embedded subsystems with product goals.
• Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, mentorship, and high‑performance delivery.
• Oversee concept through production, including PCB layout, sensor integration, power management, and enclosure design.
• Collaborate with software, product, and manufacturing partners to ensure seamless system integration and rapid iteration.
• Establish rigorous testing, validation, and quality processes to meet safety, reliability, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hardware engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role for robotics or autonomous systems.
• Deep expertise in embedded systems, PCB design, and mechanical design for mobile platforms.
• Proven track record delivering complex hardware products from prototype to mass production.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, safety certifications, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
