Lead the AI Platforms & Solutions team, driving the operational backbone of CIBC’s AI platform. Oversee end‑to‑end AI product development, architecture, and deployment using Python, AWS, and data engineering best practices to deliver client‑centric solutions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and scaling of CIBC’s AI platform and its ecosystem of sub‑products.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define AI strategy, roadmaps, and governance frameworks.
- Oversee data engineering, model training, and deployment pipelines using Python, AWS, and DevOps practices.
- Ensure high availability, security, and compliance of AI services across the enterprise.
- Mentor and grow a high‑performing AI engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering with a proven track record in leading large‑scale AI initiatives.
- Deep expertise in Python, AWS services (SageMaker, Lambda, ECS), and data engineering pipelines.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
- Experience with AI governance, ethics, and regulatory compliance is a plus.
