Senior Digital Systems and Automation Engineer GMP - Thermo Fisher Scientific

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement PLC and SCADA control systems for GMP‑qualified manufacturing lines.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define automation requirements, ensuring compliance with cleanroom and safety standards.
• Perform system integration, testing, and validation, documenting all procedures for regulatory audit readiness.
• Provide ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of digital control infrastructure.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase throughput, reduce downtime, and enhance data integrity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial automation within a GMP environment.
• Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen‑Bradley) and SCADA platforms.
• Strong understanding of cleanroom protocols, safety regulations, and documentation practices.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills, communication, and ability to work independently and in teams.
