Lead the design and implementation of HL7 FHIR-based digital health solutions, driving cloud‑native architecture and seamless integration across healthcare ecosystems.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver scalable HL7 FHIR services on AWS, ensuring high availability and security compliance.
- Design RESTful APIs and data models that enable interoperability between EHRs, mobile apps, and third‑party services.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define technical requirements, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring for continuous delivery and operational excellence.
- Stay current with industry standards (FHIR, SMART‑On‑FHIR, OAuth2) and translate them into best‑practice solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare IT architecture, with deep knowledge of HL7 FHIR.
- Proficiency in AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS, CloudFormation).
- Strong background in API design, data modeling, and integration patterns.
- Experience with CI/CD, containerization (Docker, ECS/EKS), and automated testing.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
