Security Engineer
Lead secure cloud operations on Google Cloud Platform, designing and automating CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and security controls to protect applications and data.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and maintain secure GCP environments, including VPC, IAM, and Cloud Armor configurations.
- Design and automate CI/CD pipelines with Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, and Terraform, ensuring rapid, reliable deployments.
- Integrate security scanning, vulnerability management, and compliance checks into the pipeline using tools like Snyk, Trivy, and Forseti.
- Collaborate with development teams to embed security best practices into code reviews, branching strategies, and release processes.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement remediation plans.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps or cloud security roles, with deep expertise in GCP.
- Proficient in Terraform, Kubernetes, and container security.
- Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation.
- Experience with security tools (Snyk, Trivy, Cloud Security Command Center) and incident response.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor junior engineers.
