Security Engineer
Lead secure, automated delivery pipelines for a government defense system, driving architecture, tooling, and security best practices across Agile teams using AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines for the Combat Management System 330 (CMS 330) operating environment.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert on system design, providing guidance on architecture, tooling, and security hardening.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to resolve build and deployment issues, ensuring high availability and compliance.
- Develop and evolve DevSecOps tooling, including container orchestration, infrastructure as code, and automated security scanning.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, integrating new technologies and best practices into the development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps, CI/CD, and secure software delivery.
- Proficiency with AWS services, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, vulnerability management, and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working in Agile environments.
