Software Engineer
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated build, test, and deployment pipelines for a federal healthcare modernization project, leveraging Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, CI/CD, Git, Terraform, and AWS to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure delivery of services.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines that compile code, run automated tests, and deploy containerized applications to Kubernetes clusters.
- Configure and manage Kubernetes resources, Helm charts, and cluster scaling to support high‑availability services.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and cloud provider APIs (primarily AWS).
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate code quality checks, security scanning, and performance monitoring into the release workflow.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize pipeline performance, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid rollback capabilities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering roles.
- Proficient with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Hands‑on experience with Terraform, AWS services (EKS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch), and scripting (Bash, Python).
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
