Senior DevOps Engineer driving design, deployment, and operation of high‑performance cloud and hybrid infrastructures for national security missions, leveraging AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure cloud‑native and hybrid environments supporting real‑time data processing for national security missions.
- Collaborate with software development teams to automate deployment, monitoring, and incident response using CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code practices.
- Implement and manage container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes) and related networking, storage, and security configurations.
- Develop and maintain Terraform modules and AWS resources to ensure repeatable, auditable infrastructure provisioning.
- Provide on‑call support, troubleshoot performance issues, and continuously improve system reliability and observability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience with AWS services and cloud architecture design.
- Strong expertise in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) in production environments.
- Proficiency with infrastructure‑as‑code tools, especially Terraform, and CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Deep knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, networking, and security best practices.
- Experience working in high‑consequence, mission‑critical settings and collaborating closely with software engineering teams.
