Software Engineer
Senior Developer leading enterprise Java solutions with Spring, designing scalable microservices on AWS, and driving Agile delivery across NSW Government projects.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop high‑performance Java applications using Spring Framework and related technologies.
- Design, implement, and maintain microservices that integrate with existing government systems.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define requirements, estimate effort, and deliver on time.
- Apply DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud deployment on AWS.
- Mentor junior developers and promote coding standards, code reviews, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and related ecosystems.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS, RDS, Lambda).
- Proficiency in designing and consuming RESTful APIs and microservice architectures.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps tooling (Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
