Lead the creation and evolution of a scalable design system for AI‑powered healthcare tools, driving consistency, accessibility, and developer efficiency across multiple products using React, Storybook, and modern CSS techniques.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain a reusable component library that powers all AI products, ensuring visual and functional consistency across web and mobile platforms.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to translate design concepts into high‑quality, accessible React components.
- Define and enforce design system standards, including style guides, component documentation, and versioning strategy.
- Implement automated testing, linting, and CI/CD pipelines to guarantee component reliability and rapid iteration.
- Champion accessibility (WCAG 2.1) and performance best practices, conducting audits and providing actionable improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and scaling design systems in a fast‑moving tech environment.
- Proficient in React, TypeScript, CSS (Sass/SCSS), and Storybook.
- Strong understanding of component architecture, theming, and version control (Git).
- Hands‑on experience with accessibility testing tools and performance optimization.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
