Senior architect who partners with sales and engineering to drive adoption of the Databricks platform, delivering technical guidance, solution design, and best‑practice implementation for complex data workloads.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales and field engineering to design and present end‑to‑end solutions on the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
- Guide customers through architecture, implementation, and optimization of large‑scale Spark workloads, ensuring performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Provide hands‑on technical leadership, including proof‑of‑concepts, code reviews, and best‑practice workshops for Python, SQL, and data engineering pipelines.
- Drive adoption and expansion by identifying opportunities to integrate Databricks with cloud services (AWS, Azure) and existing data ecosystems.
- Act as the technical escalation point for complex customer issues, delivering timely resolutions and documenting success stories.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or cloud architecture, with deep expertise in Apache Spark.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for building and optimizing data pipelines.
- Hands‑on experience deploying and managing workloads on AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
- Strong communication and consulting skills, able to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Track record of leading technical engagements, delivering proofs of concept, and driving customer adoption of data platforms.
