About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and build end‑to‑end data platforms on Databricks that meet the performance, security, and compliance needs of financial services clients.
- Design data pipelines using Apache Spark, Python, and SQL to ingest, transform, and serve large‑scale financial data sets.
- Define and enforce data governance, lineage, and security policies across cloud environments (Azure or AWS).
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust data solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and best‑practice guidance to engineering teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark in a cloud environment.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data engineering workloads.
- Deep understanding of cloud data architecture (Azure Data Lake, AWS S3, or similar) and related services.
- Proven experience implementing data governance, security, and compliance frameworks for financial data.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
