Lead complex Oracle database projects, owning design, installation, backup/recovery, capacity planning, and security. Mentor teams, enforce change control, and align database strategy with enterprise goals.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end installation, configuration, and optimization of Oracle database environments across production and development platforms.
- Design and implement robust backup, recovery, and disaster‑recovery strategies, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and system‑level architecture to meet current and future business demands.
- Enforce change control and configuration management policies, documenting all modifications and maintaining audit trails.
- Conduct comprehensive database security assessments, applying best practices for authentication, authorization, and encryption.
- Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and serve as a subject‑matter expert for database initiatives.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience with Oracle Database administration and architecture.
- Deep knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning techniques.
- Proven track record in backup/recovery, capacity planning, and change management.
- Strong understanding of OS and storage configuration for database workloads.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
