Lead design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise databases, optimizing performance and ensuring high availability using SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, and AWS cloud services.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable relational database solutions across PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle platforms.
- Implement performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization to meet SLAs.
- Manage backup, recovery, and disaster‑recovery plans, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Collaborate with application teams to model data, create ER diagrams, and enforce data governance.
- Automate routine database tasks using scripting and cloud services (AWS RDS, Aurora).
- Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and provide proactive recommendations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of database development and administration experience.
- Proficiency in SQL and deep knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS database services and cloud migration.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate business requirements into database solutions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in a remote environment.
